If people don't like memes, they don't have to use them, it's simple. But they don't have a right to be rude to people who enjoy them because they make them laugh.
Memes in a world where everything is always taken too seriously are a breath of fresh air. Things like Salt Bae in no way, shape, or form should be popular, or would be popular without the internet. It's always really interesting to see what exactly the internet can make popular.
